Lisa Parks-Johnson Director of Parenting Child Programs

Ms. Parks-Johnson has more than 15 years of work experience in various community-based settings, with organizations that serve high-risk families. Her work at TWTC consists of overseeing the day-to-day operation of the parenting services component. In addition to her duties as supervisor of the Parenting staff, Lisa also interacts daily with the women and children in TWTC treatment programs.

"The mission of the Parenting Department is to improve the overall parenting and family skills of our patients," she explains. When asked what she enjoys most at TWTC, she responded, "I must admit, it's the people and the mission of the organization which, in short, saves lives."

Ms. Parks-Johnson is a licensed Counselor who holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Chicago State University. She currently is a doctoral candidate in Psychology at Argosy University, formerly known as the Professional School of Psychology.
