Dora D. Dixie. Medical Director

As the Medical Director of The Women's Treatment Center, Dr. Dixie supervises the program physicians and performs clinical duties, including medical management of TWTC's Detox Unit, Methadone Maintenance Program and the Residential I Unit for women and children. She says, "The best thing about my job is my co-workers, the babies and the opportunity to help someone get better."

Dr. Dixie holds an undergraduate degree from George Williams College, and earned her doctorate in Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her internship and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago and Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. She also studied under a fellowship in Faculty Development with an emphasis in Addiction Medicine at Christ Hospital and Medical Center.
