the women's treatment center

Cynthia Duarte Director II

Ms. Duarte began her career in addiction treatment in the mid-80s. In 1988, she became a certified Addictions Counselor and bolstered her credentials three years later, by earning a bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration. In 1994, Ms. Duarte came to The Women's Treatment Center. Seven years later, she was promoted to Director II, and has responsibility for supervising daily operation of the Agency's largest unit, Residential II and the Detox programs.

"Women come to treatment looking and feeling tired, sick, hopeless and helpless," she says. "Working with them allows me to walk the journey, as they change their lives. It gives me pride and hope, seeing them leave here, knowing that they have learned how to maintain a clean and sober lifestyle by working a Program of Recovery."
