Patricia Broughton,CFRE

Development Director

Patricia Broughton joined the staff of TWTC in May, 2009, after 17 years senior-level fund development experience in the Chicago area, first as Director of Development for Bethel New Life, a community development corporation on Chicago's West Side, and then with Girl Scouts of Chicago (GSC). At GSC, after directing the then 79 year-old organization's first capital campaign, Pat became GSC's first Director of Major and Planned Gifts. She concluded her career at GSC as the organization's Director of Advancement.

Pat's fundraising philosophy is grounded in a commitment to identifying and cultivating donors with a passion for the mission of an organization, donors who then become the sustaining foundation for the organization's work. "I am thrilled to be working for the Women's Treatment Center," Pat said. "It is evident to me that not only are we changing the lives of individual women and children, but we are also having a positive long-term impact on the larger community."

Pat is active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals in both the Chicago chapter and at the national level, serving on the planning committee for the 2009 Midwest Conference on Philanthropy and on the Diverse Communities Task Force, respectively.

She holds Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science degrees from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. She first earned her fundraising certification in 2000.
