the women's treatment center

Patricia E. Shaw, RN, BSN Deputy Director

Ms. Shaw served as TWTC's Nursing Director for ten years, before being promoted to Deputy Director in 2001. In her current position, she oversees facility operations and supervises the staff. Ms. Shaw has demonstrated a commitment to working with and making a difference in the lives of the women and their children who seek help at the Center. She expresses pride in the accomplishments of The Women's Treatment Center and credits the strides the Agency has made to the hard work and dedication of its staff and management team.

"Lives have been changed here. And the bonds between countless women and children have been mended. It is very satisfying to have a role in this process - and their journey," she says.

Ms. Shaw's previous experience as a nurse and manager in the areas of Women's Health and Substance Abuse ideally prepared her to serve at The Women's Treatment Center. Prior to joining The Women's Treatment Center, Ms. Shaw served as the Nurse-Manager for the OB/GYN clinics, and later as the Coordinator of Nursing Services for the Perinatal Center for Chemical Dependence, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. While in this role, she was a presenter at numerous workshops and conferences on the topic of perinatal addiction.

Ms. Shaw earned an RN from Wesley Passavant School of Nursing at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, BSN from Lewis University and her Master of Science Degree in Health Service Administration from the University of St. Francis in May 2006.
