Hit Musical’s Message Mirrors TWTC’s Mission
It’s a never-ending circle: life, death
and rebirth. This theme, which runs
throughout the plot of Disney’s The Lion
King, is just as dramatically depicted here
every day at The Women’s Treatment
Center. The two will share the spotlight on
Sunday, December 14, when the curtain
rises on the benefit performance of the hit
musical at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.
“We selected The Lion King as this
year’s fundraiser because of its story line,
its characters and the life lessons that it
teaches,” explained event planner Lauren
Verdich, sales director at Third Coast
Marketing.
The musical’s lessons -- listen, remember,
and learn -- also are mirrored in the
core curriculum at TWTC.
