Michele Obama, Vice President for Community and External Affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals, will be the keynote speaker at TWTC's October 26, 2006 fundraiser, "An Evening with Michelle Obama" at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. The evening's program will be moderated by Mary Mitchell, Sun-Times columnist and renowned advocate for children and family.

Ms. Obama will speak to the issues of women's health and the rebuilding of families. Tickets to the program and a Post-Program hors d'oeuvres and beverage reception catered by Wolfgang Puck are $150. Limited tickets to a VIP Pre-Program Reception with Ms. Obama and Ms. Mitchell are available for $250.

Ms. Obama is responsible for all programs and initiatives that involve the relationship between the U. of C. Hospitals and the community, as well as the business diversity program. Ms. Obama, the wife of United States Senator Barack Obama, was born in Chicago. She graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a B.A. in sociology in 1985 and earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, in 1988. She and the Senator live in Chicago and are the proud parents of two girls
